[Make Up] Module 14

 President Trumps accusations of fraud are completely baseless in every single way.  Not only that but his accusations have brought violence, destruction, and disaster to out nation, and our standing on the world stage. In my lifetime we may never gain back the full legitimacy internationally that we held when I was born.  Being a disabled-African American-religious minority I hold very few myths about my country, you wont catch me on a proud to be an American montage. However, I know that America, its government and the constitution meant something more, greater than the sum of its parts, it was a beacon of hope. I just pray we remain that beacon for the many people migrating across this vast planet.

My questions 

Where did this fraud actually take place? Like states, cities, precincts, names, streets, addresses should all be made public, if they are in fact fraudulent.

 When Trump says he won in a landslide, I want the math behind that? I want an actual walk through of the mathematics they are looking at. I would probably disagree with the figures,  but to see the numbers on a page, with an argument of how trump won would be amazing.

Does Trump realize that by insulting each states election process, he is making enemies with each County and state republican chair, who has to help run their local elections? These are the very people who care about their community to run a bi-partisan elections. Trump also needs these very people to successfully run for re-election in 2024. As they are the ones who organize buses of people for events, mobilize thousands  ?

Entry 2: Connecting class readings, and the Idiocracy to the 2004 Presidential election

  The film Idiocracy, by Mike Judge features many humorous and scarily accurate assessments of American Democracy. Like most Utopian or dystopian tales, the story largely reflects on the time it was written/made, which in this case was during or in the immediate fall out of the Bush V Kerry election. While understanding of the 2004 election has grown in the decades following, at the time of the film one of the major talking points of the race was the “electability” of George W Bush, with much emphasis put on his someone “you'd want to grab a beer with” persona.  What stemmed from that persona was an assumption (and was hoped to be an overreaction) that the American people wanted someone like them to be president.  A horrible idea when one considers that America is one of the most unhealthy, overweight, and poorly educated nations on earth, but a perfect setting for the film Idiocracy.  One of the cornerstones to George W Bush's electable persona was his plain spok...

Module 6: “Call in the attack dogs” The Vice Presidential Debates

       Over the course of American electoral history presidential debates have changed the course of elections, drawn millions upon millions of eyeballs, and led to more arguments than the state of Israel. Yet throughout this contentious history of yelling, lies, counter lies, and nonsense, one political event usually gets somehow more contentious, the vice presidential debate. This is because historically the President or the Presidential candidate is supposed to maintain an element of decorum and respect, in order to inherit or keep the office of the Presidency.
